I tried to catch you Gill before you turn off down the old A6 but you were going to fast for me. I saw them going straight on to the Motor way and the A65, I followed them along the A65 to Devils Bridge and from there I went home. Brian |

Nice to know you all enjoyed the weekend, sorry I couldn't post up sooner but I got shipped out to Holland again first thing monday and only just got back into the office. anyway, just wanted to say a big thinks to you all for coming, looked like the weather was going to spoil our fun at one point but I forgot what a hardy bunch you all are and I for one still enjoyed the wet run up. Saturday was fine and dry and what a good run out, love all those roads. And dispite the rain Radio Ga Ga was first class this time, all very clear and working fine, looks like wee seem to have got it all right finally?? Only problem was the absence of out resident Video guru who was swanning it somewhere abroad I will try and sort out another for early next year maybe in the Highlands??

Richard nothing wrong with Dumfries and Galloway for next year, still plenty we have not seen nice quite rosds, really friendly locals, most impressed, especially the old bloke who came out to wave us off. Just not that particular hotel again. I think the Highlands is abit far for 2 nights. Re radios if you do get 2 from China I will have one as spare as discussed |

Richard If you are ordering some more radios is it possible to add me to the list, they seem to be a good buy and work very well, and they have that bit more power. They also cover other frequencies. Brian |

Gill, problem for you is you would need two, two PTT switches and two antenna + mounts. This is a big job to fit all this, the final problem is these radio's are very complex items to use and need to be programmed by computer. If you want to 'radio up' and join in Radio Ga Ga I would suggest a Kenwood radio, PTT and handlebar brackets. These radio's are less complex to use and come ready set up, but they cost £130-£170 each + brackets £??? + PTT £37. It might not be worth doing for the one or two trips a year. The good thing is they are very reliable and work well if mounted high up on the bike (not always easy on a sports bike). If you were coming abroad on a long trip I would say yes go ahead as the radio's are very handy, but you could end up spending £500+ fitting out both bikes with a system that is easy to use and reliable?? Finally, the Kenwood radio's we use are 'modified' units, this modification can add another £30-£40 per radio but allows them to be coupled up to special motorcycle antennas' which cost over £45 each. You get more juice into a BIG orange, or you can try some not so 'quick Silver' for a change
